They have been having challenges and believe that their approach to planning is the source. Your team’s job is to prepare a training customized to the Corporation. To prepare for the training session you will develop a 10 - 15 slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation (title slide and reference slide are not counted) with speaker’s notes in which you address the following items: • Describe the organization and its industry (i.e. size, revenue, # employees, etc.). You can use a current or previous employer. • Identify at least one legal, one ethical, and one social responsibility issue that impacted the organization and analyze the impact that these factors have on management planning. • Analyze at least three factors that influence the company's strategic, tactical, operational, and contingency planning. • Provide a model to help your audience begin implementing the practice in their organization. Leaders and Organizational Culture (Individual Assignment): You are matriculating at the University of Phoenix and have just completed a course in management. Although the culture in your organization is fairly good, you think it could be improved if your fellow managers had the benefit of the knowledge you just gained. Being the leader that you are, you have decided to share your insights with them at the manager’s forum. Control Mechanism Presentation (Learning Team Assignment): You did such a good job with the organizational structure work that Corporation You Name It*, has asked your firm to come work with them again. This time, they are evaluating their control mechanisms and want to begin with presenting the concept. Your team has been asked to develop a presentation. To prepare for the discussion you will develop a 10 - 15 slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® (title slide and reference slide are not counted) presentation with speaker’s notes in which you address the following items: • Identify four types of control mechanisms (ways controls are applied) used in your selected organization. • Compare and contrast these control mechanisms. • Determine the effectiveness of these control mechanisms. • Examine the positive and negative reactions to the use of these controls. • Explain how these controls affect the four functions of management.
