- You, or someone in your life who is willing to be a subject of this analysis
Pick 1 person who will become the subject of your analysis (your selection does not need to appear on the above list). List the person you have chosen and write a brief biographical sketch (300400 words) outlining the important elements of the subjects upbringing, work, personal life, accomplishments, and philosophy.
- Be certain to use biographical and other reliable sources
- Be sure to appropriately cite your sources.
- The final project will involve analyzing this persons biography and behavior in terms of at least 2 perspectives of the field of psychology. While neuroscience is partially described in your book, you may study about this important perspective and use it to analyze the person.
- You may also pick yourself to analyze, if that interests you.
- It is your responsibility to use your research skills to find out about the person, learning as much as you can about his or her life story and what might explain his or her behaviors.
Part 2:
- Pick 1 of the psychological perspectives and, using it as a frame, explain 2 aspects of your persons behavior in terms of that approach.
- What Meyers Briggs type do you think your subject is?
The purpose of this exercise is to get you thinking about psychological explanations for understanding yourself and others.
