Q:here is something elsa i need help with please There will probably be much discussion about whether the spider rejected the red moth for the dragonfly based on instinct or adaptation. If instinct is the mechanism, the spider would have been born with this ability to detect poisonous chemicals in insects that might cause it harm. On the other hand, if adaptation is the mechanism, the spider may have had some unpleasant past experiences with the red moth and it learned that red moths are not good to eat.
A follow up question........................................ Can you think of other specie relationships similar to the spider and red moth? If so, state the species involved and whether you believe adaptation or instinct is at work in your stated species relationship. I look forward to your response to this question and each other!
