Preview: ... the product has potential to harm someone, it should be a responsibility for the manufacturer to share it with the customer. In a competitive or non-competitive market, businesses need to not dismiss safety for the project deadline. In Ford's case, had they took the extra time and money to ensure a safer vehicle to its customers, a large amount of harm and extra costs would have been avoided as a result.
Examination of this Case with a Period Eye and a Supportive Argument
The term in art known as "the period eye" is based upon how an image is interpreted or viewed at the time of creation and at the present time.  In the case of the Ford Pinto; did people in the 1970's view the safety flaw as passionate as it would be viewed at the present time of 2010?
