This kind of information can happen to blur the actual view of the manager. For example, a potential new employee tells during the interview that he or she has financial problems and needs this job bad because he or she has a family that needs to survive. So, the manager has this sad story in mind; however, maybe the employee is not actually qualified for this job. Therefore, a manager needs to be able to decide whether this social issue is hard enough to give the new person a chance; or the manager remembers that the qualities of this person may not be enough. The job of the hiring manager is to hire good new people that can handle the duties; however, when social issues come in place, giving others a chance is morally correct. But not to forget is the point, that the new employee will need much more help and a longer time to get his or her job done.
