Find and read a journal article, summarize it, and apply what you have learned to your life.  Start with a topic from textbook that interests you and has some relevance for your life.  Research article must be from a scholarly scientific journal.  Make sure article is a description of original scientific research and NOT simply a review and discussion of previous research, an editorial, book review, letter, etc.  Look for articles with an abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclussion/discussion.

2-3 pages, double-spaced paper that includes:

Title, authors, and publication date of article

Title of scholarly psychological journal

A summary, written in your own words, of the research article.  Include description of type of research (Naturalistic Observation, Case Study, Survey, or Experiment)

Any problems with the way the study was performed or anything you would do differently. Additional studies that would be helpful for clarifying or furthering the research.

What you learned from the article and how this information might releate to your life.
