Q:
Do multiplication and simplify the answer. Please show work I am having a lot of trouble.
1. square root of 15(7 square root 3+4 square root 5)
2. (4-square root 3)(11-square root 3)
3. (square root 15-4square root 5)(2 square root 15+square root 5)
simplify by first rationalizing the denominator.
4. 26/square root 10 +3
5. 30/6-square root 26

Sqrt(15)[7Sqrt(3) + 4Sqrt(5)] = 7Sqrt(45) + 4Sqrt(75). We now factor 45 and 75 into two factors in such away that one of the factors is a perfect square and the other is not. So 45 can be expressed as 45 = (9)(5) where 9, is a perfect square, since 9 = 3 2 and 5 is not. Similarly 75 = (25)(3), where 25 is a perfect square, since 25 = 5 2 and 3 is not, so ......Sqrt(45) = Sqrt[(9)(5)] = Sqrt(9)Sqrt(5) = 3Sqrt(5). Similarly,..... Sqrt(75) = Sqrt[(25)(3)] = Sqrt(25)Sqrt(3) = 5Sqrt(3). So ......Sqrt(15)[7Sqrt(3) ...
