DUE SATURDAY JULY 31st: (Team) Criminal Identification Procedures in the 21st Century :
a. Research various technological advances that can aid law enforcement and prosecutors in identifying a criminal suspect. Examples include, but are not limited to:
1) DNA analysis,
2) biometric Identification
3) intra-agency databases for DNA
4) fingerprint, palm print, etc.
5) camera and wiretap surveillance
b. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of each technology.
c. Assess the effects of these advances on the constitutional rights of the accused from the policy perspective of the due process model.
d. Analyze the effects these advances have on the efficiency of the criminal justice system from the policy perspective of the crime control model.
e. Summarize your findings and make recommendations concerning the use and reliance on these technological advances in a 1,750- to 2,450-word (5-7 pages) paper.
f. Paper should be APA formatted.
DUE SATURDAY JULY 31st: (Individual) Jury Trial Analysis (10 points): Write a 700 to 1,050 word analysis in which you identify and discuss the steps in a jury trial. In your analysis be sure to assess the constitutional trial rights that are enacted during a jury trial, as well as examine and discuss the selection of a fair and unbiased jury.
