You believe that the mean annyal kilowatt hour usage of U.S. residential customers is less than 12,500. You find that a random sample of 34 residential customers has a mean kilowatt hour usage of 12,200 with a standard deviation of 324 kkilowatt hours. Your conduct a statisitical experiment wher Ho : m > 12,500 and Ha: m < 12,500. At a = 0.10, decide whether to reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis.
Choose from the following:
a. Reject Ho because the standardized test statistic is in the rejection region.
b. Fail to reject Ho because the standardized test statistic is in the rejection region.
c. Reject Ho because the standardized statistic is not in the rejection region.
d. Fail to reject Ho because the standardized test statistic is not the rejection region.
