For instance; I went to a Home Owners Association meeting a couple of weeks ago and when I asked the board a question one gentleman replied, Well, if you would attend more meetings then you would know the answer to that question. Then when a resident asked him why he had not attended a couple of the meetings he replied, my family comes first. What sense does this make? It is okay for the Board Members to miss meetings but if we miss some, due to personal reasons as well, then it is not okay. Then someone asked a question regarding the budget another member of the board stated, well if you residents would pay more dues then we wouldn't have such a problem making and keeping the budget. This was very rude and they never once stated that the residents did not pay their dues; just that they didn't pay enough. The due amounts were set by the board and were also just raised. The budget also consists of primarily miscellaneous charges that they feel that they do not need to explain. They feel that they are better than the lower class residents and do not have to explain where our money is going When a gentleman about breaking the payments up over a longer period of time a female board member stated, That is not my problem. I just put a new pool in at my house. The problem is how nasty the one here looks. Why would she throw in our faces how she had enough money to put a new pool into her home when she knew how badly we wanted a pool for ourselves and the children but could not afford it? I read a lot about this in our work manuals. <br>My work manuals do contain information about people like me. It is not one particular race but I felt a connection with each race, ethnicity, and culture that endured hardships because of other peoples' greed, discrimination, racism, and stereotypes that we se ...
