One such test is part of an ongoing personality inventory project conducted by William Revelle, a professor at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. The test is based on the big five personality dimensions—extraversion, emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience. At the beginning of the project, you are asked whether you would like to participate in the personality inventory test, informed that the information collected does not include any personal identifying information, and notified how the information collected will be used. Provide your consent and take the test. Typically, the questions of an inventory like this will ask you situational questions such as whether or not you like to talk to others at a party. Your response is a rating that indicates how accurately or inaccurately the phrase describes you in relation to the particular question. After you have taken the personality inventory test, answer the following questions: How did you feel when you were answering the questions? You don’t need to share the results of the inventory, but you can if you choose to. Was it an interesting process, and did you feel the questions and phrases really helped you in understanding your personality type based on the big five personality dimensions? Explain your answers.
