About augustaangel: I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I quit school at the age of 15 and chose to marry the man I believed to be the love of my life. I proceeded to have 4 children, two boys and 2 girls. As the children got older, my marriage fell apart. We divorced in 1984 because I refused to subject my children to the life of spousal abuse they witnessed on almost a daily basis. I wanted none of them to think that beating your spouse was a normal way of life. I battled hard to give my children a normal life. About 2 years later, my children and I decided that we had enough love to share with other children who were not as fortunate as we were so I became “foster mom” to three pre-teen girls and a 7-month old baby boy; I was in heaven. I taught “all” of my children about life and love, and all about our heavenly Father and his great love and how we are to always share our love and whatever else we have with others, especially those in need.

The devil truly tried everything he could to STOP me from moving forward in my education once I chose to return to college, by throwing everything he could in my path such as: August 2007, during my first block of college courses,I was in week four and my mom suddenly passed away. The school took it upon themselves to give me a month off from studies to put everything in order so I could concentrate and get back to my studies; however, I chose not to wait that long. I restarted the courses within 2 weeks and school became my comfort during my time of grief, and I succeeded in obtaining A's in both courses. My grades dropped due to emergency surgery during the final weeks of COM/135 and CRT/205, could not complete the final for CRT/205; scored an A for Com/135 and a C+ in CRT/205. Assignments for both are excellent grades, just incomplete final for CRT/205 (100/250 on final paper). Then in late June while taking MAT/116 and SCI/275 I suffered a heart attack which caused me to lack some in participation requirements; SCI 275 final was incomplete, but sample paper is included Score in SCI/275 was B.

I believe I have done very well in spite of all the drawbacks experienced, and I have proof course grades as well as for most all assignments, checkpoints, PPT's, and finals.

My current GPA is 3.64 as of June, 2009.
